Undressing

Layers slowly come off,

Burdened heavily with rain

Slowly gliding to the carpet

All security lost as they plummet

Now completely exposed,

She shivers in slight breeze

Bracing for the trial to come

Bound by things she cannot control

Falling asleep but barely awake

Praying to wake in time

The oak stands stark

Merciless comes winter
